Problems With Blog // Diablo III

Hey everyone, I know a lot of people are having trouble accessing my blog these past two weeks. I’m trying to figure out what the problem is, but I’m having trouble with that. It suddenly happened out of nowhere when I haven’t touched any of the coding, etc. for the past two weeks so I’m pretty sure it’s not from me tinkering with the coding?? I know I keep mentioning I’m going to try a reinstalling wordpress again on my Twitter but I’m been really hesitant about it. I don’t know if I backed up correctly and if I’ll lose any of my stuff in the process. So if you’re experiencing any difficulty with my blog right now please hang tight ::nervous::.

***

My time lately has been dedicated to Diablo 3 with my friends LOL! We started on Friday night, I bet we’re going to be level 20 by the end of today or something HAHA. It’s so bad because once we get addicted to a game there’s really no stopping us. Our boyfriends are just probably facepalming themselves right now ::swirl::. I think most guys started playing it the day it came out so now that they’re over the game, we started playing ::^^::. I wasn’t going to play, honestly, because my brother told me it’s not my type of game. After playing it though I don’t see why he says that. It’s sort of like the 3D MMORPGs my friends and I play.

My friend and I bought it online and we were raging because after we killed the first significant boss (the Skeleton King) it said we have to pay since we were on Starter’s Edition. I was searching online and it said we might have to wait up to 72 hours before that disappears and we can go on playing the game. We were thinking we might as well have just went to the store to buy the physical copy instead ::GAHH::.

Found some people saying if we changed our passwords it’ll work. It did ::heart2::.

I think I’ve played a fair amount of MMORPGs:

Starting from the in-browser game RuneScape LOL…don’t play that.

MapleStory which became a game full of spoiled kids. You just can’t beat those people in the game when they’re full of cash shop stuff. I think it almost became a requirement to have something from the Cash Shop or else nobody really wants you in their party when you have nothing cool to offer.

La Tale. I still enjoy this came even though it’s 2D haha. Met a good friend on this game too!

Iris Online. First 3D MMORPG for me and my friends. I was hesitant to try because I only use my laptop. The desktop is used by my brother and rest of family. I wasn’t sure if my laptop could handle 3D games LOL. Initially I was kind of having a hard time with the camera angle. After just playing 2D games it was a bit weird. When I got used to it though I wished all 3D games had it. The problem with this game is that after a while the frequency of new quests drops dramatically. You’re left with the daily quests from your lower levels which barely give enough XP for your current level. That and grinding so it really kills the fun. I don’t even know how many levels we had to grind through after we hit about level 28.

Ragnarok. It’s weird how the games seem to be going up in quality and then we played Ragnarok LOL! The reason for that is because my besties all played this game back then and I guess it provided a nice memory for them. We played on a private server. It’s weird though because they let you move the camera but only barely. I was so used to being able to move the camera on IO that RO really irritated me when it came to this. We actually decided to play on the real game when they announced that it was F2P (Free to Play). We couldn’t handle the real game because it felt really boring (at least for me it was) so we stopped pretty early.

Dragon Nest. This was pretty fun because it was another ‘significant’ change in the games I played. Although I wasn’t that good at it, it was still interesting. Usually in these games you aim at the monster and just stay in place pretty much while your character kills the monster. This one you have a more control. You’re expected to be able to dodge the monsters’ attacks. You’re expected to know what attacks to use to get the best combos and kill the monster most efficiently. You’re expected to do more than just click on a monster and press random attacks. It does get a bit repetitive after too because you’re expected to go through the same dungeons a couple times although at different difficulties. On top of that the level cap was pretty low so almost everyone could reach it in a relatively small amount of time. It became sort of a race for people to get to max level so they can just farm for rare items to either sell back out for lots of gold or make their armour godly. Jobs are also gender-locked on this game.

Diablo 3. I haven’t played the other ones, but I have to say, my friend and I are not really THAT impressed for a game that costs $60! I was surprised when I couldn’t change the camera angle on this aside from pressing Z to zoom into my character ::blink::. There’s no customization for the character really. I guess because it’s mainly a game for guys it’s not a huge factor, but come on LOL! It was interesting how you have only two main attacks on this game. I’m so used to having a bunch to switch between. I guess the trade-off was the cool down time on those attacks in other games.

Also, there’s something about this game that I don’t really enjoy which is clicking to walk. I’m guessing because you can’t change your camera angle, there’s no need to use the keyboard to walk. The only gave that made me do that was Ragnarok and I was complaining the whole time. I’m so used to using WASD to move I keep pressing it during gameplay.

I always play archers/mages in games and for some reason they’re always the nicer looking female characters LOL. It’s bad when it’s like that because it makes my bestie Ashleigh want to play since she picks characters based on looks HAHA. Her playing style learns more to a tank, but tanks are usually real butch looking. Her worst nightmare LOL. Okay I’ll stop all this dorky game talk.

Just wanted to mention that my friends made a blog. Well, Ashleigh always ran a tumblr, but she has decided to make a real blog so please check hers out! Her domain name used to be linked to her tumblr, but it now goes to her personal blog. She updates frequently! My friend Connie also made one, but she doesn’t update frequently LOL. Check out her blog anyway ::^^::.

Current Obsessions May 2012

Dropped off the face of the earth recently because I started playing Sims 3 LOL. My friends were all wondering where I went. I’m sure anyone that’s played Sims would know how addicting it is. I’ve played I think the first Sims before and it was a lot harder. Maybe because I was younger so I didn’t understand the game as much ::nervous::?

I got my sim’s lifetime achievement goal fulfilled when my laptop decided to die on me ::GAHH::!! Kind of makes me wish I got a desktop now. My laptop can’t handle me playing it all the time so.. it decided to show me the blue screen. Think I’m going to stay off it for a bit because I don’t want another laptop breakdown where I lose all my files again. That was a very sad time LOL!

Lately I feel like I’ve lost any sense of personal style haha! I used to have a very HK/casual Japanese look. Grew tired of it and then became very casual. Your everyday Canadian. I miss ‘dressing up’ and seeing things that I think would go along with my style. Nowadays I feel like nothing is to my liking. I like looking at a lot of styles but nothing that I feel like I myself would actually try to go for. I do keep finding myself attracted to images of clean, simple looks or very laidback looks. Which is why I seem to be very addicted to button ups.

Really enjoy that last studded collar picture. Wonder where it’s from or if they did it themselves!

The problem is.. I don’t just want to be wearing those all the time LOL. But that’s currently what I’m stuck on ::nervous::. I keep looking through Japanese mags to get inspiration but nothing has really stuck with me. Like I said, I enjoy looking through them but there isn’t anything that I feel like pulling off.

PS. Was having a bad day when I came onto my blog to see my scheduled post (this post) published onto blog. I was flipping out to my friend because I think I might’ve somehow selected the text and pressed a button right before pressing “Schedule”. Half my entry disappeared.. I mean albeit this entry isn’t full of words I still don’t want to redo it. Even with the relatively small amount of words, I don’t remember what I was blabbering on about HAHA. Then I remembered after my friend said they should at least have autosave, that WP does do autosave. Went back and restored it -whew-.

Dragon Nest & Slave Work

As I was saying in the entry below, I’ve recently downloaded Dragon Nest. My IGN is secretWISH and I’m on Velzkud — I’m a sharpshooter (currently level 22 as I type this, I think)! I was actually checking another game out and my brother, Alan, was saying I should probably try out Dragon Nest first since it’ll require less from my system than the one I was checking out initially. I only use my laptop so I’m always nervous that the game won’t work. When I was shopping for a laptop, I had specifically asked the salesperson that I wanted one that will be able to run games.. but you know, it’s been years since (I got mine right before they released Windows 7 =_= literally like a month or two later). Alan actually downloaded it when it came out, but I wasn’t really interested at that point because I needed a break.

This game is actually quite different for me compared to the other ones I’ve played because I never play shooter games and having that experience would make it easier to get used to Dragon Nest. It required a lot more thinking and concentration because you actually have to aim and think about where to run and when to dodge. Those sorts of things are what differentiates the mediocre players and the really good ones – especially if you want to excel in PvP and not die in PvE!

Another thing about this game is that you get to pick your level of difficulty! Usually in games, when you’re in a map that’s too hard to get through, you’d probably grind until you’re higher level to get through the map; get in a bigger party to knock down the enemies together; or upgrade your armor/weapon like crazy. It’s nice to be able to pick the difficulty so you don’t end up dying repeatedly in battle. The only catch is that you’ll earn less XP and also, you won’t have as many chances to get rare items.

I think another interesting thing to note are the empowerment points (PWR) you get daily. Everyday you get 800 points and each time you go through a dungeon, you use some of those up. Those points are to give bonus XP when doing dungeons. When you’re in a party it uses up less PWR. I guess that’s sort of like how La Tale would give 50% EXP increase (?) for an hour daily. At the end of an dungeon, you get a ranking and that will also determine the bonuses you get. If you get a B you only get 2 treasure chests to choose from and it most likely wouldn’t be a gold one. If you get an A (and I think S, but I forget), you get 3 chests to choose from, SS you get 3 or 4 and SSS will get you 4! Your rank is determined by multiple things like how long it takes for you to clear the stage, combos, etc. If you get hit a lot, it will decrease your score – which, like I said previously, is why you need to learn when to dodge and where to run to get the most hits in one go.

I quite like the humour in the game. Usually it’s a little boring reading the text but I think they did a good job keeping my attention and gave me a few laughs. There’s plenty of quests around to do to keep you playing too which is always a good thing. One of the main reasons my friends and I stop playing Iris Online for now is because of the lack of quests. I think it was around 25? 28? the quests started to dry out and all you could rely on were the daily quests. It doesn’t help that the ones close to your level barely did anything – forcing you to do the dailies from your much lower level. Doing them over and over quickly got old.

Oh right, and one last thing, I don’t like how this game has the jobs gender-locked -_-. What’s up with that?? Were they too lazy to make two sets of clothing for each job or something?? LOL. Sucks for guys that have to play a slutty character (looking at you, sorceress).

Was going to post a screenshot to make it not so… boring since it’s just an entry filled with words.. but.. apparently I failed at taking a ss LOL. I swear I pressed prnscrn a bunch of times.. I’ll just come back to this entry and edit it with one later on.

Lately at work I’ve gotten much closer to a co-worker. It’s kind of interesting to see sometimes how much of my image has changed at work. Most of the girls at my work are pretty friendly and welcome everyone with open arms. There were two though when I first started working there, that seemed to have a preconceived notion about me, I guess you could say. L didn’t stay that way too long with me after I struck up a longer conversation with her. I guess she decided to give me a try. L doesn’t work at our store anymore though.

S on the other hand had kept up her cold demeanor towards me for quite awhile. It struck me as an odd thing to do because we have to work with each other. Why make things awkward? Recently though she’s been much warmer towards me. That’s not to say there aren’t some things she still hasn’t gotten a chance to understand about me;
S still has her own idea of what I’m like. But work with her has been much more enjoyable. She even decided to let me know something, I guess you could say.. personal.. about her that she said she hasn’t even told anyone about yet.

EOS G-207 Super Nudy Gray Review

Harro mes amis! I just downloaded Dragon Nest like two days ago and I’m already hooked. Add me if you’re in Velzkud! IGN: secretWISH
But.. I’ll talk about that in another entry LOL. Today I shall be doing a review on EOS’ Super Nudy series (G-207) in gray! To check out other ones I’ve done just click on this entry’s title and you’ll see the categories/tags, just click EOS after. I’ve only tried out EOS lenses :P

Enlargement:
I believe that these come in 14.5mm? In terms of enlargement, I would say these lenses definitely do their job. I took them with me when I went to Vancouver. When I put them on I could already tell they enlarged my eyes, but when I looked back at the pictures I was kind of taken aback LOL. When I had them maximized on my screen I could really see the difference. The thick black ring helped a lot.
Rating: ★★★★☆ — 4/5

Colour/Design:
The colour of these lenses are quite dark so it kind of blends in nicely with my natural eye colour. With the wavy design on the black outer ring, I think it helps make it less harsh too. The only thing about these are that they do seem a bit pixelated. Looking at the lenses close up they seem a bit unnatural and maybe even a bit lizardy. It will be noticeable when people are standing in front of you and chatting with you.
Rating: ★★★☆☆ — 3/5

Comfort:
I mentioned before that this batch of lenses were my first ones ever so what I first noticed about this Super Nudy pair and the New Adult pairs were the feeling of thickness between them. As soon as I had them between my fingers I noticed that this pair seemed a lot more flimsier. That was surprising to me just because these are bigger in diameter. I do have a harder time putting these in because of the size and the thinness. However, once they’re in, they just disappear. I would not feel them on my eye for the rest of the day! Which, again, I thought was weird because I would’ve thought since it’s bigger in diameter my eyes would dry out faster. Not the case for these! If my brown ones felt as comfy as this pair I’d wear it to work all the time XD.
Rating: ★★★★★ — 5/5

Overall:
If you’re into doing gyaru eye makeup or even nice smokey eyes, I think this pair would be gorgeous paired along with it. My friend did my eye makeup when we went to the bar and my eyes looked HUGEE especially with the lashes. Almost a little scarily huge because I’ve never seen my own eyes like that haha!! If you’re looking for grey lenses that give you a dolly look and would feel comfortable, I would say give these a try. I think the Super Nudy series is a very popular one anyway. If you’re looking for an enlarging pair that looks a bit more natural though, I don’t think these will be the way to go, at least in my opinion. It’s not so obvious in the pictures below, but.. I don’t know, everyone around me can definitely tell (aside from it not being my natural eye colour, of course).
