This Sheer Glow Foundation enhances, without masking, your overall natural complexion. The weightless formula hydrates the skin while complexion brightening properties improve skin brightness, radiance, and texture, leaving skin with a luminous, sensual glow.
This was a foundation that was definitely in many people’s makeup bag. And for good reason! NARS made this foundation in both ‘glow’ and ‘matte’. The matte one has been discontinued, but I don’t think too many people are upset since it’s the glow version that has been receiving all the raves. Recently they have released All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation to replace the matte version (not too sure about whether or not glow will stay). Haven’t tried the new one so I can’t compare.
Although this foundation is meant to give your face a glow, it does it very well. There’s a fine line between glowing and looking greasy and this one definitely does not look greasy. Very natural.
The formula is sheer to medium. It’s buildable without looking cakey. It blends into the skin flawlessly. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with super oily skin, but I think this would work for most skin types. The reason for this is after a whole day, my skin does get oily. I have skin that’s dry and flaky but end up oily by the end of the day. Since this foundation gives a glow, I get rather oily by the end of the night. As long as you use some oil blotting sheets you should be fine.
I really like that NARS offers up a variety of colours (17 in total online). I tend to lean on the neutral side so sometimes it’s hard to find a colour that matches when most offer either pink or yellow undertones.
I recommend anyone looking for a foundation that gives you long-lasting natural, glowing skin definitely try this out. If you have really oily skin you might want to stay away from this as it might just bring out the oiliness especially by the end of the night.
