Glymm July 2012

There was a problem with the hair perfume leaking into the bag for some people this month. My problem, however, was that the scrub wasn’t screwed on right so the oils from the product sort of got on everything else ::swirl::.

Innisfree Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil Review

This mild, easily washable cleansing oil contained with Jeju organic green tea moisturizing, antioxidant ingredients softly removes point makeup and gives an easy finish just by washing off with water.

I’ve used a product from their Green Tea line before and I thought it was alright. I wasn’t really fond of the smell which I thought smelled a bit like men’s deodorant instead of a refreshing scent that I was expecting. I wanted to get a bottle of cleansing oil and originally I wanted to try the apple one but then I saw the eco-friendly packaging for the Green Tea line.

The Green Tea line is made with 100% organic green tea from Jeju Island. The selling point for me though was that they sell refills! I think Innisfree is moving towards a greener image because they have since added refills for their apple and olive cleansing oils. They’ve also changed the packaging for the refill bag too! The original bottle retails for 16,000₩ whereas the refill is priced at 11,000₩ both with 150mL.

To use this I massage this onto dry skin. Slowly I add a bit of water to my fingers and rub it onto face to emulsify the oil. Afterwards I rinse my face and wash it with a cleanser to remove the oil and makeup.

I really like this cleansing oil. It removes all my makeup in one go. I don’t need to use an eye makeup remover before using this. People that have trouble removing Majolica Majorca mascara (which is known to be hard to remove) don’t need to buy the remover MM makes for their mascaras.

The smell is something I guess I got used to. I will probably buy the apple cleansing oil to see if there’s a difference since they have refills now too. Still I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a good cleansing oil.

5/5

Yeeeshh, talk about ditching the blog, right? Last week my schedule was super packed and I ended up going out every single day. My friends and I decided to go to this rave a week before the event. We had to rush to get hotels booked and buy our tickets.

I couldn’t find a dress so we ended up going to two different malls on different days. Found a cute floral one at Aritzia on the second day! It was originally $55, but Aritzia has a sale going on right now. I was hoping to find a nice skirt to wear instead this time, but I quite like the dress too. I don’t have a picture of it on its own and I threw it into the wash after I came back. Will take a picture when it’s been washed!

I’ll just spam this post with a bunch of camwhoring pictures before we were at the rave haha! I feel like half the fun is the preparation of going out.. and the pre-drinking when everyone’s giddy as hell. At least that’s how it is for me LOL.

Wanted to wear something comfy during the car ride down. We were gonna be in the car for around 3 hours.

My besties are so beautiful @_@

Small The Body Shop Haul

The Body Shop had a sale on some body butters for just $5 so my mom and I decided to go check out what there was. I was looking on their website to see what new stuff they might have or anything for me to try out. I went through my Innisfree toner (Balancing Skin) pretty fast and I thought I would try out one from The Body Shop. I’ve tried out their toner, foaming cleanser, and blemish stick (now called Blemish Gel) from the Tea Tree line before. It wasn’t to my liking because of the fact that my skin felt incredibly tight afterwards. The blemish stick seemed alright but I felt like I was going through it too fast and it didn’t seem worth it afterwards.

I have combination skin that’s acne-prone. It’s hard to find a product that can help clear my skin and keep it in balance at the same time. Most items that fight acne seem to be too drying. This time I thought I’d try out some of their skincare products again but from the seaweed line instead. It seems to be less harsh on the skin. I also decided to indulge in a bottle of their new beautifying oil. Want nice legs for the summer ::^^::.

I only got the toner and night moisturizer for now. I still have a bunch of cleansers that I haven’t touched yet. It’s summer time and it has been pretty hot. I needed a light night time moisturizer since the one I usually use for night time would feel too heavy for the summer.

So far I’ve been impressed with all the products! I’ll give a review on the items when I have a bit more time to use it!
