Glymm March 2012 Unboxing/First Impression

I was on Glymm’s facebook page before I actually got my box and I accidentally read about one of the products in the box this month. I was hoping I wouldn’t be getting it LOL ::sweat::! Glymm used to give jars of jelly beans in their boxes but have not done so anymore and said they would be replacing it with something else (at least that’s what I’ve read from people’s comments). Someone said this item I didn’t want to get was a replacement. It’s totally not – it’s one of the main items we receive.

My initial response when I saw the items was, “…Oh ::-_-::” I went searched to see what other blogs have said about this box because it really makes me want to stop subscribing after getting two bad ones. However, people have also noted their disappointment because the past boxes they’ve received have always pleased them until recently. With that said, I think I’ll keep it for a little bit longer in hopes that it really will improve and go back to…it’s former glory ::nervous:: LOL.

M. Asam – Magic Fini

[[This silky formula blends beautifully into your skin to conceal uneven skin tone for a light, matte, natural looking finish. It smoothes away the appearance of wrinkles, enlarged pores, and imperfection to reveal a sun kissed, healthy looking skin tone. It’s magical. $38.00 – 30ml]]

I wasn’t sure if this was a foundation or concealer judging by the description, but people online seem to say it’s foundation. I hope it matches my skin tone because let’s just say it’s super dark in the jar. Nothing close to my skin tone. Since Glymm does ask for your skin tone when you fill out their beauty profile, they don’t exactly have an excuse for not sending one that’ll match unless the person hasn’t filled theirs out.

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Hydrafull Gloss

[[Get your lips softer and fuller! Drench them with multi-dimensional pigments that release high shine and color. It stays put without the sticky residue. This rich and fortifying formula nourishes your lips with the added benefits of Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter and Anastasia’s exclusive Balkan Botanical Infusion. Pucker up beauties! $27.00 – 2.2ml]]

I got this in the colour sorbet. A super bright looking lip gloss, which I usually don’t like wearing. The size is of is super tiny!! However this seems to be the only high-end item in this box. An interesting thin to note though is that the sample contains 1.0ml, but it says the full size is 2.2ml?? Is it really that tiny?? I mean I practically have half the product and it’s the size of my pinky?

Ocean – Nail Polish

[[A true trend-topper, Ocean Nail Polish Spring 2012 collection boasts shades that are vibrant, pastel and intense. This luscious lacquer applies super smoothly and streak free, and is fast-drying without containing any toxins. It’s sold in upscale salons around USA and Europe. $12.00 – 15ml]]

I googled this product and can’t seem to find anything about it unless I’m searching it wrong. Is it because it’s only in salons? I don’t particularly like putting on red nail polish unless it’s super glittery, so again this is not something I’m super excited about. I kind of wish maybe they let us pick what sort of colours we like for nail polish?? I did see others with a more shimmery red, wish I got that one instead LOL!

NuMe – Feather Hair Extensions

[[Get Professional-grade DIY feather extensions instantly! A beauty trend that definitely STANDS OUT. Colored hair trends have been prevalent on the hottest Spring 2012 runways. NuMe extensions are 100% cruelty free, synthetically crafted from real human hair and ready for heat styling. Don’t be shy, flaunt that feather! $25.00 – 3]]

If you couldn’t tell, this was the item I really was hoping I would never get. Feather hair extensions. Wow. I know it’s ‘in’ since my store is selling dangling feather hair clips, but really? Especially how they sent me this neon green one. A little part of me died, I think. I think they should’ve thought this through more better. I doubt their clientele are 10 year olds. I cannot see anyone other than little tweens, old ladies, and ravers wearing feather hair extensions or hair clips.

I can’t even take a picture of it to make it look decent LOL =_=.

Lise Watier – Flash Lift Radiance

This was also included in the box and wasn’t included in the card that introduces the items so it’s a bonus item.

Box’s Worth:
Magic Fini (5ml) – $6.33
Hydrafull Gloss (1ml) – around $12.00?
Feather Hair Extensions (Full Size) – $25.00
Nail Polish (Full Size) – $12.00
Total Worth: $55.33
It’s nice they gave two full size products, but as the saying goes, quality over quantity. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with the hair extensions :::(::

Again, I’ll give my opinion on the products after I have a chance to try them out! If you’re joining, mind going through my link ::heart2::?

  1. :D I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT OUR BOX FROM…WHATEVER THE NAME WAS WILL BE BETTER :3 LOL tho I do like the anastasia logo :DDD lol not going to lie tho the red nail polish turned me off lol

    1. haha! I hope so too ::sweat2:: . Apparently they’re hoping to ship by the end of next week so that means we’ll probably be getting it at the end of the month ::tear:: . Disappointed.

Yeah, I’m not exactly a big fan of red polish. This one turned out to be a bright red, but it looks like I got a red sharpie and put it on or something ::swirl:: . I think I’m going to put a coat on to take a picture for the blog and then put a coat of my red China Glaze one since I don’t want to keep putting it on and taking it off. It’s starting to harm my nails because I change it every week ::tear:: .
