Originally we wanted to go to the night market to binge on food since last year we were too full to try out what they had to offer. We thought we’d go on the 17th instead of 16th (the day we arrived in Vancity) because my uncle said the weather forecast said that it was going to rain that evening. He was totally wrong, it was sunny all day and on the 17th it was grey and ugly. I was disappointed because I wanted to go to the night market with Eileen since she only had four days there and the night market is only held on the weekends in the summertime.
(PS. There’s still time to check it out if you’re visiting Vancouver! More info here.

I didn’t upload the pics, but we bought a bunch of knick knacks for Ashley as presents for when we get back. I ended up buying these eye masks because mine is dying BAHAHAHA. Mine is on the left.
Alan wanted that ugly thing LOL!! So he told me to pick one too since it’s cheaper buying two. Picked the rabbit since it’s the least ugly.
We did end up trying something cool though. My uncle insisted we try it since it’s not everyday you get to see or eat it. Dragon’s Beard Candy. Very cool stuff. It looks like the strands of silk or something and when it’s done it looks like a silk cocoon! You get to pick what you want inside – peanuts, coconut, black sesame. The coconut and black sesame were good! It’s sweet but only lightly and much like cotton candy, it melts in your mouth instantly.
Not as fluffy because it was compressed in the box and was in our fridge to prevent it from melty in the hot weather haha XD

4151 Hazelbridge Way
Richmond, British Columbia
Aberdeen… you know we went crazy at Daiso!! LOL!
I was low on cleanser so I thought I’d grab a couple at Daiso to try out. Why not right since it’s only $2 each? I was just excited to try out charcoal cleansers. In Japan, back then, our tour guide kept stressing about charcoal stuff. It was used in a lot of places apparently. I’ll be doing reviews on them later on (but I love it ^^!!). And yeah, I won’t blabber on about the haul in this entry haha!
We went to the Japanese place at the food court again (Hanabi) since Leen didn’t get to try it last time. Alan and Uncle went to buy something different to try while we were waiting for them to cook our stuff. Seriously… it took forever. I retract my recommendation that I gave it last time =_=.
We also ordered a okonomiyaki there this time too. I did see under that you could pay like $1.50 (??) to add beef, shrimp, mochi, cheese, but I assumed that’s to add extra or pick other ingredients to add to it. It wasn’t like that. They charge $6.00+ for a piece of dough with bits of corn in it. It was a big wtf. It’s like unless you pay $7+ don’t expect to actually eat okonomiyaki. The essential part of okonomiyaki would be the sliced pieces of cabbage, they didn’t even have that =_=?!?! What the hell, Hanabi.
Two customers came after us to order stuff and even their stuff was all served before ours was done. We had only two things D: Sooo slow.
I can’t remember what the place is called for this sandwich. It was in the food court at Aberdeen too but I can’t seem to find it on the page o_o. Sorry if the picture looks gross. We cut it into four pieces before I remember to take a pic… LOL!! It was fried pork cutlet sandwich, I think. Not bad.
Queen Elizabeth Park
Cambie Street at West 33rd Avenue
Vancouver’s version of Victoria’s Butchart Gardens.
Queen Elizabeth is a public park and back in 2008 some of the copper statues in the park were stolen. Thieves wanted to steal it to sell the copper back out. It has since been returned though so you can see the different color in cement where they sealed it back. I took pictures with these back then too so it’s fun taking new, silly pictures with them : D
Alan OBVIOUSLY had tons of fun with it. But look at this photo:
I wanted to do it like in those pictures on Tumblr where every frame slowly zooms in on their face, but whatever. I’ll just show you guys. Friggen hilarious LOLOL.
The girl’s obviously amused while her dad is like, “WTF!” LOL!!!!! Cracked me up so bad. Leen and I spent a long time zooming in and out really quickly on the computer laughing at it. Good times, good times. Miss my biyatch.
I was going to go up to it and try to make it look like he was trying to touch my boob, but I was too short for the task LOL! I was on my tip toes and the family there was staring at us. I suggested that Leen take my role since she’s taller, but she wasn’t close enough to look like he’s touching her inappropriately.. LOL!!! But you get the gist of it.
Alan… always the pervert… LOL!
Can you spot Leen?
Bag models LOOOOL
We were trying to take a picture of us doing peace sign because of the one below made of flowers. This old man with this wife came by at that moment and offered to take a picture of us four. He kept bothering me!! LOL! EFF! He snapped it the first time and Alan blinked but he didn’t tell us. He just pointed at me and was like, “You’re not smiling! You have to smile!”
Me: I was!!
Old man: -raises camera to take picture-…-puts it down- You’re still not smiling!!
Me: ………. -smiles harder-
Old man: You have to smileee!!
His wife: …She’s smiling -exasperated look-
Old man: Smile!!
Me: …-forces grin on face-
Old man: -Takes picture- You weren’t smiling -evil chuckle-
I was actually bitching about it later because they left and for some reason they came back up a different path and I was like “……….” LOL!!
Alan trolling.. literally LOL.
