EOS J-203 New Adult Brown Review

Finally doing some new reviews (instead of renewing reviews on items I had previously posted on LJ)!! I thought I should since I’ve been using the items a couple times and I think it’s enough to do a review on it haha. I swear, I take pictures of all the things I buy and it’s saved on my computer. The items are just waiting for me to use them @_@. A lot of times though I don’t do reviews on things I buy that are sold in stores in North America because there’s enough people doing reviews on them.

Anyway! Let’s start on my EOS lenses!!

EOS J-203 are the new Adult series. I read on the web that they made these ones because the old Adult series didn’t really look like the colours it was supposed to be. Grey would look blue/purple depending on the lighting, etc. The old ones, I think, are E-203. This batch I bought was actually the first ones I’ve ever bought. I’ve never tried circle lenses before so I’m no expert and I don’t really have any past experiences to base these reviews off of ><. But I’ll do my best!

I was too excited that I forgot to take a picture of what they looked like in the vial.. LOL.

Normal without lenses, natural lighting, direct sunlight. Sorry, I didn’t have a good picture in natural lighting without makeup LOL. Was forced to just use the one with some.. and I looked tired because I just came back from work.

I was looking for some natural brown ones that give my eyes a little special something. I’ve always wished that my eyes were a little lighter brown so they stand out a bit more. I didn’t want them like crazy cat eyes though because I wanted it to be wearable if I decided to wear it out for work. I didn’t want them super enlarging either because I needed them more natural, also for work. I definitely think that these were perfect for all of the above. My friend, Ashley, agreed that they looked nice and natural.

I will be using fuckyeahcirclelenses‘ rubric for reviewing.

Enlargement:
I was looking for something with only a slight enlargement and I thought that since these were 14.0mm that it’d be perfect. As you can see in the picture they did give some with the thin black ring around. Those that are looking for one that enlarges the eyes really big might not like this one. I think these did a good job for a 14.0mm lens.
Rating: ★★★☆☆ — 3/5

Color/Design:
When looking at the lenses in the vial/case it looks almost orange and I was a little hesitant at putting them on. However, when you put them in they blend flawlessly with your natural eye color. I think they look beautiful in direct sunlight as you can see an almost gold-ish brown colour to the eyes. The only thing I’m not so happy about is that I wish that they are a tiny bit more vivid in natural lighting. I think it would still look natural and bring a little more colour to the eyes. However, if you were looking for a natural pair to wear out, I would recommend these ones.

Comfort:
At first I thought that it was because my eyes weren’t really used to contacts so it didn’t feel completely comfortable. I think that’s still kind of true, but part of it is actually the lenses. I tried on my other ones and I notice that it’s just the New Adult series that seems to be like this. When I put it on, even after a couple minutes the feeling of them on my eyes never seem to completely disappear. Although when I’m distracted by something they seem to not bother me as much. I felt the need to use some eye drops pretty soon though.
Rating: ★★★☆☆ — 3/5

Overall: It’s a nice pair to have on days when you’re going for a more natural look. I feel like it brings a little more life into the eyes and it makes people want to look into your eyes just a little longer to see what’s that special something when they’re near you haha! But if you want a little more drama to the eyes, these might not be for you. Also, the wearing time for these I feel, isn’t very long because it’s not that comfortable and eye drops would probably be needed.
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆ — 4/5
